INDIANAPOLIS - Join the Indy Wine Trail in December for their newly expanded Christmas Wine Trail. Charm of the Season will take place December 1st through the 24th, 2010 at participating wineries.

Wineries include Buck Creek Winery (Indianapolis), Chateau Thomas Winery (Plainfield), Easley Winery (Indianapolis), Mallow Run Winery (Bargersville), New Day Meadery (Indianapolis) and Simmons Winery (Columbus).

Grape Inspirations Winery in Carmel remains a member of the Indy Wine Trail but is temporarily closed due to a fire. Customers will only need to visit the six other wineries on their trail experience.

Customers can visit each winery during the entire month to enjoy discounted Christmas shopping and a free ornament at each winery! Be sure to visit all six wineries to get a different ornament at each stop.

"Christmas at an Indiana winery is such a unique experience," said David Simmons, co-owner of Simmons Winery and president of the Indy Wine Trail. "The Indy Wine Trail is excited to invite people in to our wineries and give them a taste of what Christmas means to us."

Tickets are on sale at any of the Indy Wine Trail Wineries. The ticket cost is $25 ($12 designated driver tickets are available) and includes wine tasting, a glass of wine, a collectable winery ornament and a petite fir tree to collect all six ornaments.

Currently, the Indy Wine Trail is featuring a passport program where visitors receive a free wine glass after visiting all Indy Wine Trail wineries.

For those traveling the trail, spend the weekend relaxing at Hilton Garden Inn Downtown Indianapolis and enjoy some unique amenities. The Wine Lover's Package includes a beautifully appointed room, Breakfast for 2, Valet Parking, 2 Indy Wine Trail glasses and 10% Discount off Indy Wine Trail merchandise (not wine).
