Take a Trip Around the World during March Gladness on the Uplands Wine Trail

Indiana's favorite wine trail event is here with a new twist! Now in its sixth year, the March Gladness food extravaganza promises another four days of food and fun. This year, the event's theme is Around the World with each winery featuring foods from a specific country. During the weekends of March 10-11 and 17-18, the Uplands Wine Trail allows visitors to experience the wine trail VIP style with tastings, gourmet hors d'oeuvres and desserts and special vintage wines. The Indiana Uplands Wine Trail is comprised of nine wineries-Huber, Best, Turtle Run, Winzerwald, French Lick, Carousel, Oliver, Butler and Brown County. Some of the culinary surprises you'll find include Cuban mango salsa at Best Vineyards, South African vegetable curry at Butler Winery, Brazilian empanadas at Carousel Winery and Sauerkraut Soup at Winzerwald Winery. French Lick Winery will be serving up Spanish chorizo and manchego cheese, Oliver Winery will create some special Argentine samplers, Huber Winery will tempt you with Italian tuscan soup, and Turtle Run will specialize in delicacies from France and don't forget the Greek spanakopita at Brown County Winery. Tickets entitle you to visit each of the nine wineries once over the four-day event. Tickets may also be used in conjunction with the IUWT's ever-popular Passport program. Receive two free buffet party plates with the trail logo upon completion of the trail using your passport and you are automatically entered into the grand prize drawings at the Vintage Indiana Festival in downtown Indianapolis, June 4, 2012.
