Indiana Uplands Wine Trail Announces March Gladness

SOUTHERN INDIANA-Indiana's favorite wine event is here! Indiana Uplands Wine Trail (IUWT) is bringing back March Gladness for the fifth year. Shake off those winter blues and come celebrate March Gladness on the trail. This annual event promises to be a even better in 2008.

During the weekends of March 8-9 and 15-16, IUWT allows visitors to experience the wine trail VIP style with tours of the wineries, gourmet hors d'oeuvres and desserts, and special vintage wines. Some of the delicacies to be savored this year include Chicken Penne Caesar Salad accompanied by French Bread at Huber Winery and rich creamy spinach artichoke dip with gourmet crackers and shrimp at French Lick Winery.

"March Gladness is a wonderful opportunity to learn how food and wine are natural partners. Re-energize your palate for spring! Obtain recipes and meal ideas for entertaining your friends and family. Show off all of the wine knowledge that you gain from travelling the Indiana Uplands Wine Trail." says Susie Butler of Butler Winery in Bloomington.

Tickets are available at any winery along the trail for only $30. March Gladness tickets may also be used in conjunction with IUWT's ever-popular Passport program. Receive a free memento upon completion of the trail and enter the grand prize drawing at the Vintage Indiana Festival in downtown Indianapolis, in June 2008.

Comprised of eight wineries-Brown County, Oliver, Butler, Carousel, French Lick, Winzerwald, Turtle Run and Huber-the wine trail was formed in 2003. All eight wineries from Bloomington south toward Interstate 64 will be pairing a wide array of wines with tasty delectables.
