SOUTHERN INDIANA.    Owners Chris Lanthier and Tami Hagemier have uncovered arrowheads and artifacts at their winery, which is in a small, 18th century fort. Chris produces 13 fruit and grape wines, which bear such creative names as Rifleport Red. Specialty batches like dandelion or rose petal wine will be offered throughout the year. Home beer/winemaking supplies with free lessons from cellarmaster. Call for reservations at their French-Italian restaurant. Free wine tasting. Tours available weekends. Group tours a specialty. From Indianapolis:
Take I-65 South to US-31 (exit 76). Go southeast on US-31 passing Columbus to SR-7. Go southeast on SR-7 to SR-56. Travel east on SR-56 to US-421. Take US-421 South to downtown Madison. Turn right on SR-56 (Main St.) Turn left on Mill St. Winery is on right.
