SOUTHERN INDIANA.
Harley and Bettye Kauffman first planted grapes in 1974, and have supplied a number of Indiana vintners with quality wine grapes. The only Southwester Indiana winery and vineyard, they now cultivate eight acres of grapes for 10 estate-bottled wines. Kauffman's wines sold in Evansville at Engelbrecht Orchard on Christ Rd., Schnucks groceries' three locations, Wine Tree at Washington and Weinbach streets, University Liquors on the West Lloyd Expressway, Wesselman's in North Park and at its Mt. Vernon location. Winery will ship case lots to consumers for a fee.
