Harley and Bettye Kauffman first planted grapes on their 200-acre southern Indiana farm in 1974. Throughout the years the Kauffman's have supplied a number of Indiana vintners with quality wine grapes. In 1987 the couple started their own winery and sold their award winning wines throughout the Evansville area.
Today the Kauffman's still run their small farm winery in Posey County and in the fall of 2002 opened a new winery tasting room at the vineyard. The public is welcome to visit and enjoy the estate-bottled wines that are made from one of Indiana's oldest vineyards. The winery is located just 10 minutes west of Evansville and a half hour drive from Historic New Harmony, Indiana.
The winery offers cheese and sausage plates and outdoor seating overlooks the hillside vineyards. Cellar tours are available upon request.
