Blue Heron Vineyards is a ridge-top winery perched nearly 300 feet above the Ohio River just upstream from the Cannelton Locks and Dam. The tree house-like deck, the patio of stone or the beautiful pavilion are fantastic places to sip Blue Heron Wines and take in the river vista. Blue Heron specializes in Estate-grown and Indiana-grown grape wines that range from dry to sweet.
The winery property is home to a world-class Celtic Cross carved by local artist Greg Harris. Hiking trails lead from the winery to the cross, with scenic beauty and points of interest along the way. Greg has other works featured in and around the winery property.
Located on nearby vineyard property with a four acre lake, is Blue Heron Farm's Bed & Breakfast, a recently remodeled 1930's Farm House complete with a turn-of the century barn and vintage outbuildings. Guests may enjoy breakfast in the cozy dining room or on the outdoor decks of the winery.
Blue Heron Vineyards Winery is located half-way between Louisville, KY and Evansville, IN in southern Perry County.
